About the Event
Attendance is REQUIRED for both parents in all cases involving child custody or child visitation, including modification of custody and physical care. Parents may attend together or separately.
“Children Cope with Divorce” is a four-hour educationalcourse designed to help minimize the negative impact of divorce on children at a time when parents are naturally preoccupied with their own adjustments. Recognizing that their joint roles as parents will continue to exist, the seminar helps parents begin to restructure their relationship and make appropriate plans for their children.

If you are on food stamps, SSI, or WIC you are eligible for a reduced course fee. A copy of food stamps, SSI, or WIC letter of decision must be emailed to children1st.ia@gmail.com prior to class date to be accepted. If we do not receive proof for reduced rate you will not be allowed to attend the course.

If you are a recipient of legal aide, you are eligible for a waived registration fee. Children 1st must receive written verification from Legal Aid for class fees to be waived. You will not receive a certificate or e-filing until we have received written verification from Legal Aid.
